The workspace of the future is Algae! Algae Loop aims to envision Heura Food´s workspace of the future, considering existing technologies and climate change scenarios, using Barcelona’s historical building as a site for intervention. Combining the fight against climate change and the future of food, the project involves not only the impact of the sea level rise but also proposes the new building as a photobioreactor that produces, food, energy, and oxygen.
ALGAE LOOP is a project of IAAC, Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia developed in the Master in Advanced Architecture 01 - 2022-2023 (IAAC) by the student(s) Rafaela Müller, Yasmin Jaskulski, Vishesh Narola, Faezeh Bolbol and during the course MAA01 22/23 Introductory Studio G3: The Workspace of the Future with Carmelo Zappulla.
